Hi. You are looking at a vintage, Sunoco sign that can be personalized with any combination of three letters. In this case, the three letters are GPS. So the possible combinations are: GPS, GSP, PGS, PSG, SPG and SGP. This belonged to a close relative of mine, so I'll guess it's from the 1940's/1950's or earlier. The sign and letters are made of a magnetic material. Each letter has a small tab on the top and bottom of it that holds it in place. You would have to very carefully bend each tab down to remove it and or move it. The sign measures approximately 8" long and 3 1/2" wide at the widest part. It is very thin, but can be handled "normally." The letters measure approximately 1" x 1 1/8" Of course you could make your own letters or paint over the existing letters. If you collect gas station or oil company items, this sign is for you. It would look great in your den, garage, work station, etc. There is the VERY slight possibility that this was a license plate topper, but I really doubt it. It has NO bends, NO dents, NO creases and NO scratches. It does have some minor wear, but I think it gives it character. Overall, this item is in VERY GOOD++ CONDITION. The pictures are of the front and back of the sign. You will receive the item that is pictured and described. There is no "bait and switch" with me.
