Vintage Maps-Lot 1-Western US-Chevron-Texaco-Mobile Gas-1940's to 1960's.
This is a great lot vintage maps of the western United States! There are 6 maps in this vintage lot!
Utah, put out by Chevron
. I found a tiny copyright that says 1948! And it lists population based on 1940's census information. Also, in the back, it has a US Map...which shows
Route 66
! This map is in a booklet form that opens out. There are some numbers written in pencil on one page, but otherwise, for it's age, is in good condition. No other marks or tears.
Rocky Mountain National Park
, published in 1952. This is a great map of the park, and it has information about the park. It is in great condition with no marks or tears.
Calfornia-Nevada-Arizona-New Mexico map, put out by Texaco
, in late 1951 or early 1952. On part of the map, it lists the "current gas taxes, as of Dec 2 1951"! The Gas Taxes chart is for the lower 48 states, which was the number of states at the time. This map is also in great shape, with no marks or tears.
San Diego and vicinity, published by Chevron
. This map appears to be from the 1950's, although I could not find a date. Also in great shape with no marks or tears.
Los Angeles map, published by Mobilegas
. This is a "Miracle Fold City Guide by Foldex", and was exclusive to Mobilgas. I couldn't find a year on this one either, but also appears to be from the 1950's and is in great condition for it's age. A small tear on the fold of the cover, but otherwise, no other major tears or marks.
Colorful Colorado, published in 1969
by the State Dept of Highways. This map is in great shape, with no tears or marks.
