Trying to finish up my last few old prewar engines that I still have laying around before I give it up. Then have some in my private collection. Need something ask.
If my price seems high I want you to know that I usually put 6-10+ hours of labor restoring it to the condition it is at now. Plus I usually put Fifty to one Hundred dollars in refurbished or new parts. Sometimes less sometimes more.If you want one cheaper you may have to repair it and its costly. Even the new parts do not fit and have to be modified.
It is a very nice Lionel 253 Green with Brass trim & Orange inserts. restored  Great condition. I had clean all the brass, All new wheels & wire , serviced and rewired. Install a repaired reversing switch, lube and replace brushes. Cleaned up very nice.
I fine 90% of the engine I buy have been restored in the past 90 years. Runs great is both directions. Service and added new wires. Great wheels,.

.     Has been serviced, Tested and runs.  see picture running is forward and reverse. . I serviced the motor, Serviced  manual reversing switch, Antique Prewar Tin Plate Engine. Made in the late 1920'S . Runs F & R , Great runner Forward and reverse. Look at the picture. Decide for your self.
