    Description

Vehicle is being offered with free delivery. For details and conditions, see the terms of the offer at the end of the listing. And it’s best to view the listing on a desktop or laptop computer. A smartphone won’t give you the same details.
This Versa has had over ,800 worth of parts and service including a brand new Nissan transmission and a new set of tires, details of which are mentioned further in the description.
This auction is for a low mileage fully equipped 2013 Nissan Versa SV sedan finished in Metallic Blue (aka Electric Blue), with a Sandstone beige interior. When comparing this Versa to the others listed, keep in mind this is the more expensive and better equipped SV model. Some of the others here are the base S models which don’t have power windows or door locks, don’t have remote keyless entry, don’t have power mirrors, don’t have chrome door handles and grille surrounds, have a plain instrument cluster without tachometer, have a lower grade of interior fabric and may not come with cruise control. Add to that are the numerous options on this car that most other Versa’s here don’t have such as the touch-screen sound system with navigation and satellite radio, back up camera, fog lights, spoiler, etc. 2013 is the second year of the new Versa sedan bodystyle and looks nearly identical to the models up to 2019. It’s powered by Nissan’s second-generation 1.6-liter HR16DE engine, a 16-valve DOHC powerplant that has received excellent reviews by engineers and the automotive press for its strong power output, great economy and inherent smoothness. It features an all aluminum alloy engine block and cylinder head for light weight and excellent heat dissipation, Continuously Variable Timing Control (CVTC) on both intake and exhaust cams similar to the system used on the Maxima for maximum power output at all engine speeds, a dual fuel injector system that allows a wider injection of fuel with two smaller nozzles delivering a finer spray for excellent gas mileage, distributorless coil on plug (COP) ignition for reliability in all environmental conditions, and drive by wire electronic throttle for precise control of drivability parameters. These and numerous other cutting-edge technologies make it one of the most advanced powerplants in the entry-level class of automobiles. In 2012, the Nissan Versa was the first vehicle in North America to wear the PUREDRIVE® badge. PUREDRIVE® is a global concept and designation demonstrating Nissan’s commitment to creating eco-friendly, improved MPG and lower CO2 emission vehicles.
The engine is mated to a redesigned Xtronic CVT™ (Continuously Variable Transmission) that eliminates conventional shifts to provide silky smooth seamless acceleration that no other transmission, either manual or conventional automatic, can match, without any of the power loss of a conventional automatic and nearly identical fuel economy as a manual transmission model. It provides a stepless and seamless flow of power continuously from idle to redline. Instead of having individual gears, the CVT allows continuous change of the transmission gear ratio by connecting two pulleys with a metallic belt and changing their diameter by using hydraulic pressure. The CVT also features a transmission ratio of 7.3:1, which is broader than those of conventional CVTs and even typical 7-speed automatic transmissions. This CVT design adds an auxiliary gearbox using planetary gearing, helping improve efficiency. Also, internal friction is reduced by 30 percent, weight by 13 percent and overall size by 10 percent versus the previous Versa sedan CVT design. The CVT has a low starting “gear” ratio that provides brisk acceleration from a stop, while a high top “gear” ratio allows for effortless highway cruising and excellent fuel economy figures of over 40 mpg in real world driving. In other words, this CVT has a lower “first gear” and a much higher “top gear” than conventional transmissions, which gives it such enhanced acceleration when starting off, and great gas mileage when cruising. At 60 mph, the engine is only turning at 1,800 rpm which is quite low for such a small displacement engine.
Rounding out the Versa is a suspension made to smooth out your daily commute while still having fun on twisting roads. Start off with a light curb weight of 2,400 pounds and add a MacPherson strut independent front suspension with front and rear stabilizer bars and low rolling resistance P185/65R15 all-season tires. Include speed sensitive rack and pinion Electric Power Steering (EPS) for precise road feel, anti-lock brakes (ABS) with Electronic Brake force Distribution (EBD) and Brake Assist (BA) for sure stopping and a stiffer chassis design than many other small vehicles, and you have a car that is quicker, faster and handles better than most others in it’s class.
Not only is the Versa fun to drive, it’s also economical to maintain. Most systems have low or reduced maintenance components. For example, instead of a timing belt that needs periodic replacement, the Versa uses a steel timing chain that lasts for the life of the engine. It uses platinum tipped spark plugs that only need to be changed every 105,000 miles, extended life coolant with a 105,000 mile service interval, transmission fluid that needs to be changed at 120,000 miles only if the car is used in severe service, and a fuel filter that only needs replacement if the pump is replaced. Also, the muffler and tailpipe are stainless steel and should last the life of the car.
As previously mentioned, the Nissan Versa sedan was totally redesigned for 2012. A “clean sheet” ground-up design that combines styling cues from the Nissan corporate architecture of its upscale Altima and Maxima models into its most affordable entry-level automobile. The use of more high strength steel and light weight aluminum components results in a 150 pound weigh reduction over the previous year while still keeping the same wheelbase and width. In fact, the Versa sedan has more rear seat legroom than the Lexus LS460, BMW 5-series or Mercedes-Benz E-Class. The designers gave the exterior shape a strong sense of volume, with a wide shoulder width and a smooth silhouette. In front, the Versa sedan features Nissan’s new signature grille design (with chrome surround on SV models) and clear lens headlights with jewel effect reflectors. The front-end blends smoothly into the cabin, which offers flowing curves, while design elements such as the shape of the trunklid help give the Versa sedan excellent aerodynamics, including a low coefficient of drag of just 0.31. The indented roof panel in the middle of the Versa sedan’s sweeping roofline is not just a design feature, but a functional innovation that helps reduce the amplitude of the roof panel vibrations in order to create a quieter cabin interior, and a Euro style “shorty” antenna on the roof adds European flair. Other notable styling touches include chrome door handles (they are just painted on base model Versa’s) and bodycolor mirrors and splash guards for a monochromatic look. From its smooth aerodynamic lines and gentle curves incorporating design elements from Nissan’s own pricier Altima and Maxima sedans, the Versa looks handsome from any angle without being flashy.
As attractive as the Versa is on the outside, the inside is just as nice. Get in and sit down in a bucket seat that feels supportive yet comfortable for a 12 hour drive. Set the 6-way adjustable seat to the perfect driving position with the seat height lever and the recline knob, and the then grab the wheel and adjust the tilt steering column to achieve complete driving control. Notice how the cruise control switches are just a fingertip away. Next, look ahead at the dashboard with the Fine Vision™ instrument cluster trimmed with chrome rings and how easy the gauges are to read. Now glance at the center stack and 5-inch touch screen display screen and see how simple the radio and climate controls are to operate. Enjoy the convenience of in-dash navigation instead of having a unit stuck on the windshield or using a phone on your lap. Make your drives more pleasant with the XM satellite radio. Get out of your driveway or parking spaces safely with the automatic back up camera. Look right and left at the chrome trim on the door handles and lock knobs and the titanium accents on the dash and steering wheel, as well as the premium cloth upholstery with a graphic pattern on the seating areas that have a textured finish for better air circulation. Not only is the styling beautiful to see, but all the textures have a rich feel and look and all the switchgear have a precise soft touch action. From the weave in the seat upholstery, the textured graining pattern on the dash and door panels, or the layout of the knobs and switches on the dash, everything looks and feels like it came from a more expensive car.

The car is in good condition inside and out. It has a nice dent-free body with some random nicks and scratches all over you would normally expect on a car of this age, but more so on the rear bumper. The paint itself is beautiful and shiny throughout, and this shade of metallic blue just about glows in the sunlight. It has been fully detailed, first with Meguiar’s Iron Decon, then the paint was cleaned with Meguiar’s Smooth Surface Clay System, polished with Meguiar’s M110 Mirror Glaze polishing compound, then topped off with Meguiar’s M27 Pro Ceramic Hybrid Sealant for a durable and long lasting high gloss shine. All the glass, lights, moldings, trim and emblems are excellent. The front bumper was repainted at some point and possibly the left front door, but the car still has the original VIN stickers on all the major body panels, indicating it’s had no major accidents that would have required replacement of a hood or door.

The interior is in good condition as well with no major signs of wear other than some gouges in the center console to the left of the shifter, a 2 inch long seam split on the back side of the passenger seat and on the rear seat bottom, and some nicks and scrapes on the left rear inside door panel. This light shade of fabric does show dirt more than a dark color so there are some random stains and blemishes here and there. The trunk looks like it was hardly ever used and the engine compartment has been fully detailed and is clean enough to eat off of.
Mechanically it runs and drives great. When I bought it from the previous owner in May, the transmission wasn’t working, so I installed a brand new Nissan factory remanufactured transmission from Coleman Nissan, Bethesda MD. It has a one year Nissan parts warranty. And since I didn’t want to flush the transmission cooler in the radiator and risk having left over debris inside, I also installed a new radiator. And since the 8 year old condenser was right there, I replaced that too. The engine runs strong and feels smooth while accelerating and throughout the cruising range. The engine starts instantly whether hot or cold. The steering wheel is on dead center going down the road with no shakes or vibrations at speed, the brakes are firm with no pedal pulsations or pulling to one side when stopping and the suspension is tight. The A/C blows cold. You can hear some occasional rattles or squeaks at low speeds. It has a brand new set of Douglas all-season tires that are made in the USA by Goodyear. These tires combine great looks, exceptional all-season wet/dry traction, extended comfort with a smooth ride and low noise, excellent handling and long tread life with a 420 treadwear rating and a 45,000 mile treadwear warranty. These are M+S rated so they can be legally used on roads that require winter tires. The car has a real spare tire in an age when many cars just come with a can of inflatable tire sealant in the trunk.
The car has been fully checked out and serviced with over ,800 worth of new or recent parts, maintenance and repairs with original Nissan or other name brand parts so that only your enjoyment rather than your immediate attention will be required on delivery. And finally, the on-board diagnostics were scanned and show no codes stored, and more important, that all available emissions system readiness monitors have been completed. What that means is the CHECK ENGINE light wasn’t reset in order to turn it off to hide an existing fault. If an emissions component has a fault causing the CHECK ENGINE light to illuminate, the emissions readiness monitors will be incomplete plus the car won’t pass an emissions inspection. Some sellers will reset the CHECK ENGINE light to make it appear like there are no issues at the time of sale, but the light will come back on shortly afterwards. It can take hundreds of miles for the readiness monitors to run to completion, so the fact that the readiness monitors have been completed indicates the CHECK ENGINE light hasn’t been reset and that at the time the car was scanned, it would pass an emissions inspection. (That isn’t a guaranty that the light won’t come on in the future as a fault can occur at any time without warning.)
The car comes with all the books:
And two factory remote keys and an emergency wallet key:
Overall this is a very sharp car that looks great in the Electric Blue color. That color Versa is pretty rare and you’re sure to get many complements about it at the mall or supermarket parking lot from total strangers. It has a clean two owner AutoCheck history report, the last owner from North Carolina, which probably explains why it’s so clean.
If you are serious about buying a Nissan Versa in general and an SV model specifically, this is about as low as they go with this low mileage and so well equipped. Remember, you can get a great deal on Ebay with prices sometimes way below retail, but no bidder is going to “steal” a vehicle and no seller is going to give one away either. Also when comparing prices, remember the things that you won’t have to spend money on soon after getting it home. With this car you won’t have to spend ,500 to ,000 to replace the transmission, you won’t have to spend ,000 on bodywork or upholstery repair, you won’t have to spend 0 for a new set of tires, you won’t have to spend 0 on a complete front brake service, you won’t have to spend 0 on a complete rear brake service, you won’t have to spend 0 on a tune-up and filters service, and you won’t have to spend 0 on any upcoming scheduled maintenance. With many of the other listings on Ebay, Craigslist or on dealers lots, you’re lucky if they even check the oil before delivery. Also, if you are looking at other Versas, make sure they come with both remote keys, as a replacement with programming will run near 0. And since 2013 is the second year of the new redesigned bodystyle Versa, its the best value since all the bugs of a first year model have been worked out, and it’s virtually identical to models up to 2019. The majority of the depreciation has been absorbed by the previous owner, yet the car still looks and runs great. What that means is you can own a car with the looks, style and prestige of a late model Versa, for a fraction of the cost.
If you are looking for a low mileage well equipped Versa at a low price, then this car is hard to beat. The NADA Blue Book base value of the car without options is over ,500 which doesn’t even take into account all the parts and service done to it.
to see the NADA value. I have the Buy It Now price at more than 0 below that amount. Sure, you can find these listed for -K, but if it costs you another ,000 or ,000 in service and repairs after getting it home, it’s no bargain. Also remember that we don’t charge dealer processing fees or document fees that many other listings have for 0 or more and bury in their fine print. And don’t be fooled by some other auctions that are advertised as NO RESERVE and start at 0 or some other low price. Since no dealer is going to risk loosing thousands of dollars if their auction doesn’t bring enough money, you can be pretty sure he has some “people” bidding on it for him. Especially those auctions that are private listings where it says “User ID kept private.” Also, because my reserve is close to the Buy It Now price, don’t think that you will get a much better deal if you just keep bidding it up instead of using B.I.N., especially if you need it delivered.
TERMS OF THE AUCTION ARE AS FOLLOWS
