2000-12 Peopling of the Americas - Dawn of Humans – National Geographic Map Poster
Who were the first Americans? It has been long thought that they crossed over the Bering land bridge from Asia. With new archaeological sites having been found, scientists are questioning that theory. The map-side features a classic National Geographic cartographic political map on the Americas, from Alaska to the southern tip of South America, with an inset physical map of the Americas. The reverse-side again shows a map of the Americas with the proposed routes that early man took in peopling of the Americas, and with locations marked where animal & human remains plus artifacts have been found. It is believed that they came from both Europe and from Asia, some took coastal routes and some land routes.
