VINTAGE LIBBEY "MARINE LIFE" GLASSWARE COLOR MAGAZINE PRINT PROMO ADVERTISEMENT FROM 1958
Here's a wonderful vintage magazine print advertisement for the new Libbey "Marine Life" pattern introduced in 1958. It measures 12 1/2" x 9 3/4" and is suitable for matting/framing. It has a Pilsner (beer), Cocktail or Wine, Old Fashioned (mixed drinks), Beverage (sodas, etc.) and Cooler (wine cooler) style drinking glasses. The image shows 2 rows of glasses with a white fishnet running diagonally through the composition. This desirable glass pattern features abstract fish, seahorses and mollusks swimming in the ocean (when the glasses are filled with a beverage the marine life appear to be swimming inside the glass!). The back of the page has text/images from the following page magazine article (not visible on the front).
This vintage magazine print ad is in good condition for being 63 years old. The images have good detail and color. The paper sheet has lite toning from age. The bottom edge margin area has a little darker toning and a lite stain spot in the lower-left corner edge not affecting the images. The left margin edge area has pinholes/tiny tears from the stapled binding of the original magazine. Please see photos for condition. This print will mat/frame nicely! This is an original magazine print ad from 1958 and not a reprinted reproduction. It will be safely rolled up and mailed in a sturdy shipping tube.
