Bert Hall of the Lafayette Squadron who has been decorated four times for distinguished service. He and Lt. William Thaw of Pittsburgh are the only survivors of the ten original American members of the Escadrille. Date Stamped Aug. 14 1918. (Note small amount of tape over tear along bottom middle edge and small amount of damage to lower left quadrant.)
