This is a promotional book titled "Views of Montreal."  It was published in 1904 by I. H. Nelson Company, Portland, Maine, exclusively for E. P. Charlton & Company.  There are 32 pages of photos, many one to a page but some groups of pictures as well.  They include views of ships, harbor, bridges, government buildings, market scenes and many picture extolling the winter sports and pleasures of the city.  It is 10" by 7 & 3/4".  The maroon cover has faded but is intact.  Inside there is some foxing to the margins around the photos but the images are crisp and clean.  The center 4 pages (2 folded pages) have pulled away from the binding but are intact and in good condition.  It is a wonderful old historic treasure for anyone interested in Canada's history.
