    10 WWI ERA PHOTO IMAGE EXPERIMENTAL AIRPLENE, 95TH PURSUIT SQUADRON, OWL, here is a fascinating group of 10 photograph image of World War I WWI era photograph, airplanes, which appear to be experimental aircraft and some type of contest, possibly in the build-up to World War I. Many of these photographs are identified, and these are fascinating photographs of very unique aircraft, including some with three engines, a triplane and several very unique images of some of the airplanes in the air. Please review photos. There are identifications on the back including the name of the individual who is involved in the program whose estate in Peoria, Illinois these items came from. The name was Robert C. Cohn of the 94th Pursuit squadron aero squadron, Selfridge Field, Michigan. In handwriting on the backs of some photographs include "Owl 95th ship", "Wright-Bellance", "Remington Burnella," "Bumblebee with Henderson motor, this little ship was made at Selfridge field by the 95th,"  "Navy entry", "St. Bettis taking off for pace," "Powell's U of D Pacer," and "Italian entry." This fascinating group of biplanes, tri-planes, officers looking on, and some of these airplanes in the air, evidently a group of experimental airplanes for some type of competition, possible military use, a fascinating group of early World War I era photographs, and will make an excellent addition to your experimental early aeronautical or airplane related photograph history collection, aeronautical WWI era photograph or military warplane development related document history collection, or fascinating Selfridge field, michigan, and competitive airplane related development photographic history or memorabilia collection.
